Christopher Aguele
A veteran of the financial industry since 1996, with experience at GKN Securities, Ladenburg Thalmann, Bear Stearns, Buckman, Buckman, & Reid, AXA Advisors, Astoria Federal, and Peoples Securities Mr. Aguele has devoted over a decade to developing expertise in various compliance roles, including a supervisory position as senior compliance consultant for a division of Sun Life Financial. With the discipline and knowledge gained in these capacities, Chris arrived at the dispiriting realization that too many in the financial industry regarded regulations as constraints on their needs instead of the most ethical and efficient methods for facilitating those of their clients. In 2008, at Astoria Federal Savings and later with People’s Securities, a wholly owned subsidiary of People’s United Bank, Chris transitioned into an investment advisor for retail clients to better serve those entrusting others with their money and all the work and potential opportunity it represents.
Chris’s motivation grew into a passion, a passion whose expression was eventually stifled by the limitations inherent in a traditional banking format. Dissatisfied with fitting the client to the package, Chris founded American Strategic Advisors (ASA), guided by the premise that each client’s financial needs are too individualized and emotionally fraught to be fulfilled by impersonal, generic brokerage firms or banks. ASA’s bespoke approach to financial well-being, personally overseen by Chris and his colleagues, begins with a comprehensive analysis of each client’s current financial situation with the aim of designing a specific strategy for success.
In his ongoing effort to offer his clients the soundest possible guidance, Chris holds a Life Insurance license and has earned his Series 7, 63, 65, 4, 53, and 24, all currently held by LPL Financial. For over fifteen years, Chris has resided in Fairfield, CT, an active member of the community and a presence on Long Island Sound, where, weather permitting, you might spot him boating on the weekends with his wife and three children.
